I Broke up with My Boyfriend because, Quarantine, and Got a New Family
I broke up with my boyfriend because quarantine forced us to spend much more time together and the problems we'd been able to sweep under the rug became too apparent to us. It was time to make the break which would have been devastating normally but since I was able to move in with old friends and turn a negative into a positive. This wouldn't have happened without the Coronavirus. -

Looking Back on the Beginning of Quarantine
When the various stay at home orders were announced around the middle of March, I was optimistic that things hopefully would be managed in a fairly quick manner. Working from home, extra time to work on hobbies, zoom meetings, and the opportunity to drive less all seemed appealing. As time wore on, and various factors and wrong decisions meant that we did not as a country have this under control, staying at home lost its appeal. I don't think anyone wants to do this anymore. -

The Broken Family
Being at home all day isn't fun at all. It is for certain that I miss my normal life. Now that this pandemic has almost taken over the US, we have no other option than to stay home and keep ourselves preoccupied. There is one important thing that we must do. We must fix our broken families. It is common for families to have their bad moments and have people in the family not necessarily agree with everyone's actions but that must end now. For any broken family we must take this time to heal the wounds in the family and come together to accept one another's flaws and or differences. As a human I make mistakes and I do argue with my siblings and parents but that needs to change. I am not the only one who may have problems with their families at times. Sometimes we just feel as if we aren't living up to the expectations or standards of our families but as I said, we need to take this time to fix that and heel any problems. We must come together and have respect for one another and have tolerance. I have not taken the time to sit down with my family and simply restore what was before but I will as everyone should and stay positive, only hoping for the better. -

Ease from AP's
I'm currently a junior in high school and honestly, it might be ignorant to say but, I feel like this pandemic has brought numerous advantages to me academically. I'm currently taking 3 AP classes this year, and honestly, I was feeling a little bit overwhelmed this AP season. let's say I wasn't really looking forward to hours of grueling mental torture. Now AP tests breezed by, only taking up around 50 minutes of my time. Everything is easily available to search up online, and only a tiny portion of everything we've learned in class is included, and someone who didn't even study can get a good grade. For AP US history, there was only one DBQ with 5 short documents. One doesn't even need much historical backing in order to write a thesis and weave all the prepared documents into one coherent essay, which could easily get someone a passing grade. For AP language and composition, it was one rhetorical analysis essay, which again, is one of the easier types of writing since you're merely explaining what techniques the author uses to present their argument. For AP psychology, all of the terms could be easily found online.Of course I wouldn't want thousands of people dying just so I could get some AP credit, but since it's already happening, I might as well spread some minor positive vibes around here. -

Chalk Day
This photo is important to me because we are in quarantine and it feels like a lot of negativity and it's kind of a way to show that "the sun will always come out tomorrow" that something good will come out of this. (inspired by Tangled) -

“So far it hasn't really had any affect."
“So far it hasn't really had any affect. If anything, it's just made connection stronger with Jehovah. I find myself talking to him and praying to him more often than I usually would. So, so far it's just been positive changes in regards to me and my religious beliefs and practicing them and putting them into practice.” -

Coronavirus Eyes
I was diagnosed with Coronavirus a little over two weeks later but I had just started to feel the symptoms. My wife swears that everyone she has seen (herself, me and people on television) have these very distinctive puffy Coronavirus eyes. It is May 3, 2020 and I have finally tested negative and my eyes are no longer swollen. I think she may be on to something. #HST643 -

Cleveland Rocks
On a neighborhood walk, our family counted sixteen rocks along two blocks of Edgehill Road painted with positive messages related to the pandemic. Similar rocks have appeared in other communities around the nation, a result of a desire to find new ways to occupy time spent sheltering at home. They offer opportunities either for scavenger hunts and certainly brighten the spirits of passersby. Like the rock pictured here, most of the rocks we saw were propped against tree trunks in what Clevelanders call "tree lawns" (sidewalk strips). After seeing the rocks, our daughter felt inspired, so when we got home we found some rocks, gathered her art supplies, and sat on our front porch to paint some rocks of our own. -
