  Remote Learning

  During covid, we started remote learning. Each day i wake up, get on my computer, and join class. Remote learning was fun at first but doing the same routine everyday gets repetitive and boring. There are still some perks to doing school remotely though. It is nice to have the freedom of being able to do something fun between classes like playing games or hanging out with family. I also get to sleep in a little later which is crucial. There are also some obsticles with remote learning too. For example, some kids are going back to may school and we are using cameras over head and it is hard to hear and see things. It is also hard to focus when you are at home so the education is probably not as good. Overall, I would like to go back to school but as soon as i go back, I am sure i will want to be online again so i will make the most out of this time.

  Covid Exposure

  We have a night nurse (NCS) come over to take care of my 3 month old sister. One night we were eating food when the night nurse came down and said that she had bad news. She said that she tested positive for Covid but still decided not to wear a mask when telling us and came really close to us. We had to tell her to put on a mask and go because she asked if she should stay regardless of having Covid. This was a week before Christmas so of course it ruined all of our plans and didn't have anyone over. A couple days later after she confirmed she had Covid, we went to get a rapid test, and a normal test in both of my nostrils with a total of 4 swabs and i was very much against it. They all tested negative. We then got tested again a week later with again another 4 swabs. We had a total of 9 swabs so far because i also got one in early quarantine. They felt like they were stabbing at my brain and one time gave me a gushing bloody nose. Luckily we still tested negative but Christmas wasn't as good all because our night nurse didn't tell us that she had an exposure (which she new about for days before telling us). After a couple weeks she tested negative and came back.

  Rules and procedures

  I haven't gone back to school yet so there aren't many rules to follow. The first rule is to wear a mask around people and social distance. There used to be a curfew but that didn't last long. The last rule is we aren't allowed to have big gatherings.

  My life before Covid

  Before Covid i was at school, playing sports, seeing friends, watching movies, going out to eat and other normal things. I then heard the news of a virus in China but didn't think much of it. Then i heard the news of it spreading across the world and they brought up the idea of online school but i thought that would be too good to be true. My school then anounced that it would happen and we had a long weekend as the teachers prepared for online school. we finally started and I thought it was the most amazing thing to do school from home. I luckily got a haircut before everything closed. Now I would like to get back to school because doing it online is very boring and i want to talk to friends again.
