My Experience with a Positive Covid Test
I personally haven't really been affected by Covid, but I have had a few friends who tested positive. It was kind of funny because the two friends that I would talk with every day and hang out with were the two to get it. One of my friends tested positive on Christmas Eve and the other tested positive a few days before Christmas. I didn't know for a while because of Christmas plans and holiday festivities, so it wasn't a huge deal, but we couldn't get together for new years' which was kind of sad. -

Virtual Learning During Covid
Virtual learning was definitely an experience that came with a lot of challenges, but also a lot of added benefits. Some challenges were not being able to ask questions in person, because some questions are too detailed to get a good answer to without seeing what the other person is talking about. I also seemed to zone out more online than I would in class because we were on zoom so long. I definitely feel I was on my computer more in the last year-ish than my entire life. Some benefits were my sleep schedule was actually way better when we were online than it has been in a while or when we were in person. My stress also seemed to go down incredibly when online because the teachers seemed to be way more understanding on zoom, and wanted to help you. Overall I like being back in school, but being online wasn't as bad for me as it must have been for others. -

The Cause Of the Pandemic
I personally don't believe there is one person to blame or one specific start of the virus. Yes, it had to have first started somewhere, but because it spread so quickly it's hard to narrow it down to just one specific starting point. I've heard all the different theories of what "truly" caused the virus, but I believe it started with a few people and it then spread quickly from person to person. Because it was a mutation disease no one had the antibodies to fight it off quick enough to not spread it or carry it with them. Since we also don't know where it truly began or even when there is really no way to find the original cause of this virus. -

My Christmas During Covid
This year's Christmas was a bit different, but it was pretty much the same as normal. We never travel over Christmas break so staying home wasn't too unusual. My uncle and grandfather ended up coming over for dinner because we see them pretty often, but we still stayed socially distanced. We were extremely blessed this Christmas with an amazing meal and lots of presents to open, but it was really nice to just sit down and catch up with everyone. I realized that even though we were all in the same place at the same time we hardly knew what was going on in each other's lives, in detail I mean. It was also probably the longest I had gone without looking at my phone or computer in the last year or so. Despite not being able to see all of my friends like I normally would, I think this has been one of the best Christmas' ever. -

My Life Before Covid
Before Covid, I was in the middle of the seventh grade. It was going pretty well considering it was the middle of the year and nothing much happened then. I wish I had known then what was about to happen because I never got to go out one last time with my friends or go to sports practice without worrying about being distanced from each other. I had gotten into the routine of normal days and repeating the same schedule 24/7, and wanted a little something to change it or make life a little more interesting, this is not what I meant at all. I remember talking with my friends every day and seeing them at school, but now we can't. Calling and texting are great and all, but it isn't the same. Not even close. Hopefully, we can go back to the way it was before Covid sooner rather than later.
