About a week ago, my folks and I had to make a mad dash to my college resident hall to salvage all of the stuff in my room. My dad made extra sure to let me know how it important it was that we got the toilet paper from my room. The whole experience was really bizarre. For starters, there was actually parking spots in the parking lot, something the school is usually pretty lacking in. In addition, the place was practically dead. There were some other students coming to get their belongings as well, but it was pretty much just me and my dad walking up and down the hallway. Considering it was my first year at college, it was a little depressing moving out so unceremoniously. Everything had to be quick and orderly. No time for goodbyes or anything like that. I almost feel like I'm missing out on the college experience a bit.

Both of my parents drive for a limousine company. This week, one of them was to drive an old woman to do chores and grocery shopping. All she needed from the store was toilet paper and ground beef. She was not able to find any in any of the stores they had tried. We could not let her go without any, so we gave her some from home. Why are people purchasing so much stuff at once? It's like they had decided to start stockpiling as much as they could get there hands on.

Since we've been in quarantine, my family and I have been spending a lot of time together. Every day feels like the days are getting longer and we run out of things to do. A couple things that we have been doing are playing old games that we haven't in years. We pulled out the old Wii and have been playing games like Mario cart and Wii sports. When that gets boring we play card games and teach each other ones we don't know. Games have been a big part of quarantine life so far. It's given me more time to spend with my family because with our busy schedules, that gets cut down sometimes.

I think this picture really resonates with everyone in the pandemic. I do nothing but stay home every day and eat my food. So the only thing that increases is food spending and belly fat. Isn't everyone like that?

During the closure of the city, all the residential areas can only have one entrance, and other entrances and exits must be blocked. Sharing bicycles has become an ideal material for roadblocks.

The COVID-19 pandemic is undoubtedly scary. We are currently faced with a time in which people are fighting for their lives, we can’t leave our homes, businesses are closed, and our lives have been completely uprooted. There is no doubt that this situation has affected every single person’s day to day life. However, from my personal experience I think that different communities are affected in different ways or perhaps hit slightly harder. Although everyone’s top priority at this time should be safety, I also think it is important to address the strain this pandemic is putting on communities like my own. The first week of March I drove 600 miles from South Carolina to Pennsylvania to go home and visit my family for spring break. Little did I know that I would end up being in Pennsylvania for the foreseeable future. My hometown is the epitome of a rural community. If you are not one of the few small business owners, a farmer, working for a natural gas company, or a factory worker in the next town over then you most likely live in poverty. Therefore, my community was already economically struggling before this pandemic hit. Once it did hit, the small businesses deemed nonessential were shut down, hours of operation for essential businesses have been cut back, and those who were already wondering how they were going to pay their bills now have absolutely no idea how they are going to survive heading into the future.

During times like these, it is important to go out and enjoy the little things.

My little corner in an apartment that I share with three other people in Boston. Normally, I always study in the library at Northeastern, but with the university closed and the risks associated with public transport, my bed serves as my study space as well. It does save energy though. When it’s nap time, I simply put everything on the floor and go to sleep!

With all of the spare time that we now have due to the quarantine, many are picking up new hobbies or dispersing their energy into something productive, like cleaning. In the photo you can see my roommate, Alex, doing yard work that he never had the time to do until now.

The video shows Hyderabad’s empty streets. Every business in the country, no matter how small, has shut down. The country of 1.3 billion is at a complete standstill. Closures at this stage have not been observed till date, not even on Sundays are the streets so deserted.

The greatest hardship for my children in this time is the loneliness of missing their beloved teachers and friends. Writing letters to their teachers helps them feel connected and is good writing practice for their home learning.

Passed by a local copy shop and they had a sign to let others know that they can make a personalized sign for Covid-19

Drove past the gas station. Can't remember when regular gas was below $2.00

We passed by our kid's school and they had changed the sign. They miss their kids. Our kids miss their school.

I took this picture at our local supermarket at 3521 Thomasville Rd, Tallahassee, FL on 4/2/2020. I posted the picture on FB the next day and a FB friend said by the time they got there the TP was all gone.

I walked to the back of the store where they keep the toilet paper and saw that the worker was bringing out toilet paper on a pallet. I looked around to see that people were literally swarming this man. As soon as he let down the pallet and walked away they crowded the pallet and starting grabbing. It was such a crazy sight to see. I had to take a picture. This just shows that we value toilet paper.

News organizations continue to report on the shortcomings of the US government response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Many people from professional healthcare occupations and Americans in general are upset by the response.

This week our governor implemented a mandatory shutdown for all barbershops and hair salons due to COVID-19. This hit close to home as I have several cousins who are barbers with families. This will greatly affect their households.

This is my hometown. I hope we can overcome this soon. I hope soon we can go out to school, travel to other cities, to play with friends, and to live life normally again. I hope the world can be good once again. Let's go China, let's go Wuhan, and let's go world! Let's get through this together
